TGIF

This meme is hosted by Ginger at Greads

This Friday's Question:

Banned Books: How do you feel about the censorship of the freedom to read? Do you think the education system needs to be more strict on what children are exposed to in books?

Okay. My first thought was, H*LL NO! I hate when books are censored and it might be very naive of me but I sort of didn´t think it happened any more at least not here. But I guess I think that children should be thought to read books that are written for their age and perhaps not read adult books until they are adults them selves. But then again, I guess that depend on the content in the book. There is a big grey area here. But in the big picture there should be no banned books! OI think people should be more worried about what kids are watching on tv and on their computers. Books are, according to me, harmless in a way TV is not.

My dirty little secret!

Can I just first say, I am really sorry I´ve been totally not active on this blog this week! My son who is 11 months had a killer fever amd then he got spots all over him so I´ve been a bit of a mother hen and been totally overreacting so the blog has been the last thing on my to do list this week! But he is all better now and I am back and on fire!

This week's question:

"Who is your author crush? And if you were to write a fan letter to them, what would you say?"
My answer:

Wow I have never ever in my life written a fan letter and I am not even sure I have a favorite author who I want to stalk (LoL). There are just to many good to choose one to obsess about. With that said and since I kind of feel like I need to answer this question sometime today I will say this:
I would write Richelle mead and tell her I love her books and that I wish that Sydney could get over this racist kind of thing she has going on (when it comes to human, damphirs and vampires mixing) and fall completely in love with Aiden! That would be awesome and plz keep writing your amazing books because they totally rock!

Yes I do and probably a lot of people have the same answer but it is The twilight saga. I just loved it and it was the first I read in the genre so I guess that is a reason as good as any else.

This week's question:

"If you could have wings, what would they look like?"
My answer:

I would want to have really big wings that´s majestic in either white with streaks of gold or purple/black/silver in a mix. I love purple so i think that would be my number one choice and the white/gold would be my second choice

I looked down at my dirty jeans and torn shirt, “Uhm, okay… But I don‟t have any clothes to change into.”
He smiled, “I do.”

Author Interview with Sherry Soule + Awesome giveaway!

And the price is her first book Beautifully Broken in paperback with an uber cool bookmark included! You can find the link to the form at the bottom of this post to enter the giveaway!

INTERVIEW WITH SHERRY SOULE, AUTHOR OF BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN

Info about the book:
Author: Sherry Soule
Series: A spellbound novel #1

Where did you find your inspiration for this novel?
It has been a labor of love for over three years. I love all things supernatural and I have a morbid fixation with haunted houses. Hence, the idea for the eerie, ghost-filled, Ravenhurst Manor.
Shiloh and Trent’s relationship feels kind of complex to us. How would you describe it without giving away too much?
Sure, they had chemistry and attraction, but they also had a few arguments and misunderstandings, which naturally happen in most relationships. Because each character is emotionally flawed in their own way. (Let’s not forget the fact that the heroine has to deal with a wraith, the usual teen traumas, a dysfunctional family she loves to hate, and a demon trying to kill her.)

For the hero, Trent, his mother died at a young age and his father abandoned him after her death. He’s been hurt and neglected by his family. His arrogance is his shield against getting to close to anyone, because he is afraid of getting hurt.

For the heroine, Shiloh, her mother has never really been the “motherly” type. She is cold and indifferent. Years ago, Shiloh tried to kill herself and her mother didn't even bother to come to the hospital to see her. It wounded her deeply. Shiloh strives in school to get grades and be noticed, earn some praise from her mother. This doesn’t work.
In a way, both of these characters are very needy of parental love and acceptance. Openness and honesty is hard for them. When they find each other it’s difficult to let down their carefully built walls and…just trust their hearts.

Besides, I’ve always thought the hottest romances were the ones with a little friction, passion, and tension, don’t you?
We just love Shiloh’s character! Where did you find the inspiration for her personality?
I admit that Shiloh has a lot of my own snarky attitude in her. I wanted her to be supernatural and powerful, so she became a Heritage Witch. The Thirteenth Daughter born into a family of Wiccans and the most powerful witch since the Charmed Ones. I think she’s a tad like Phoebe Halliwell too. Quirky and loveable yet able to kicka** too. Because witches need love too! :-D
How many books can we expect in the SPELLBOUND series?
So, far I think there will be four or five, but of course, I’ll let the fans dictate that. If the series takes off (which I hope it will) then I’ll keep writing books in this series. It’s all wait and see. If the next book, BEAUTIFULLY HAUNTED does well, I’ll start editing the third book. If not, then I’ll work on something else.
Last but not least... Anything random that you would like to share with our readers?
Aside from writing, I enjoy reading poetry, online shopping, digging through flea markets, exploring old cemeteries and Victorian mansions, and watching scary movies.

Well I will just post it right here for your self to read :)
Easier that way. But mainly a little intro about me and then when I started to read and what I read and stuff like that. And yeah there is a pic of me as well, but you have to go to the about page if you wanna see it.

My name is Cecilia and I'm the oldest of three sisters. I am 27 years old, married for over a year now and has a young son who was born in october 2010. I live in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden a small country in northen Europe. When I work, I am a teacher of five year olds. But right now I'm on maternity leave. I love to read books. I discovered the world of books when I was 13 years old andwanted to escape reality. Booksare great when you want to do that, I asure you. In my teens I read a lot of romances and novelswith complicated life stories. Myfavorite authors at that time was, Rosamunde Pilcher, Maeve BinchyNicholas Evans and Nora Roberts to name a few. Today I am very fond of Urban fantasy books of all kinds and paranormal romance books. So far I havefound most books aimed for and about young adults but I hope to find books that are also addressed to us a bit older but I am very fond of reading booksfor young adults. It's really fun. Sometimes I wonder where the time went, itfeels like it was yesterday I turned 18, but it was actually nine years ago. Yes where did the time go? Right now my favorite authors are Richelle MeadStephanie Meyer, Rachel Caine, and Marian Keyes, but the more I read it can always change!
