Beg for mercy by Shannon Dermott

Everyone dreams of that first kiss. Of that magic moment when your lips finally meet those of that special person you’ve waited your whole life for. A little awkward, a little scary, a little hot and every bit amazing. We speculate that the whole world will shake and time will just stop. No one, however, ever imagines that kiss to bring Death himself knocking.

Insight by Jamie Magee
Before that fateful summer night, Willow had balanced the insight of emotion, and the vivid images. That night, the figure in her nightmare marked her wrist with a star, giving her father no choice but to tell Willow a family secret that would abruptly change life, as she knew it, forever. Before Willow had time to absorb the shock of her father's secret, her soul mate that had shared every stunning dream with her, found her, and darkness captured her closest friends. In order to save them, she must weave through broken myths and the undeniable power of the Zodiac. In the end, Willow discovers that at the moment of our birth we are all given a divine gift.

Emody by Jamie Magee

Not many Scorpio’s are known for their patience, and Willow Haywood is no different. Her only desire is to love Landen Chambers and redeem the lost souls of Esterious, but the path to that desire is long, dark and dangerous...
Before Willow’s life had a chance to balance the sudden revelations and grief she had to endure to get to Chara a disturbing discovery is made. A photo, one that shows Willow blissfully embracing the flawless image of Drake Blakeshire; giving her not only proof that she had lived before, but that she had loved him.

There is an ominous darkness, one that that is so dense and mind numbing that you can feel the chills race across your skin as the energy of the hatred behind it hovers near you. They thought that it was over…that he was dead….they never imagined that he was more powerful dead than he ever was alive.

A war is on the brink of erupting in the dark dimension of Esterious, the victory Willow had a few days ago was nothing less than vague memory. With each thought she has she fights the images of Drake’s dark eyes, his words… his promises. Doubt seeps into her soul as she stares forward and what could only be the hardest battle she has faced thus far.

Saturday Snapshot

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce @ AT Home With Books.
This weeks Saturday snapshot is from my amazing evening yesterday! One of my best friends won 2 vip tickets to the Twilight fan event for Breaking Dawn part 1. The guests of the evening was no other than Robert Pattinson and Ashley Green! We had standing tickets so we were really close to the stage and therefore really close to Rob hehe. This has to be one of the most amazing things ever for me since i am such a Twilight fan :) Of course meeting him in person face to face would top this evening but who wouldn´t want that! I will post pics and also a little video from the event. The quality of the Rob pic is really bad but yu get the point. My camera is really bad. Hope you like it!

A Temptation of Angels

Title: Temptation of Angels
Author: Michelle Zink
Genre: Paranormal romance

About the book:
Even angels make mistakes in this page-turning epic romance...

When her parents are murdered before her eyes, sixteen-year-old Helen Cartwright finds herself launched into an underground London where a mysterious organization called the Dictata controls the balance of good and evil. Helen learns that she is one of three remaining angelic descendants charged with protecting the world's past, present, and future. Unbeknownst to her, she has been trained her whole life to accept this responsibility. Now, as she finds herself torn between the angelic brothers protecting her and the devastatingly handsome childhood friend who wants to destroy her, she must prepare to be brave, to be hunted, and above all to be strong, because temptation will be hard to resist, even for an angel.

Michelle Zink masterfully weaves historical fantasy with paranormal romance to create a gripping tale of love and betrayal.

Book review: Dark seeker by Taryn Browning

Author: Taryn Browning
Title: Dark seeker
Series: None
Genre: Paranormal romance, young adult
Purchase: Amazon | B&N
Format: E-book
More info on
the rating HERE
About the Book:
For 17-year-old Seeker, Janie Grey, ridding the Baltimore streets of the undead is an inherited duty passed down from her Cherokee ancestors. Seeker Training Lesson #1: Never trust the undead. After her father’s tragic death, Janie creates her own life lesson: Love isn’t worth the risk. Both lessons are easy to follow until she encounters the flawed Kai Sterdam. At first, she believes he is the hybrid she is trained to hunt. But, when he has human traits, she determines she doesn’t know what he is. As Janie’s intrigue over who Kai is pushes her deeper into his mysterious past, she discovers a shocking truth that is even more harrowing than the evil they are up against. It’s a secret Kai wants to keep hidden, especially from Janie.

My Thoughts:
This book was awesome, an excellent debut by Browning. I just kept reading and reading and I just could not put it down! I was driving my husband crazy with all my reading. I loved the story and the characters. I think Janie is so inspiring in her bravery and she is a really strong young woman. It was really interesting to read about a seeker with cherokee inheritance but I would have loved to know a little bit more about that and why her age changes every fourth year. But other than that this story was very well written exiting to read.
Kai is a really interesting character. He is mysterious, cautious and really protective when he cares about someone. It is so cool to read about a demon-vampire hybrid. I love the relationship Kai and Janie develop and it gets even more interesting when an athlete at her school shows an interest in her as well. Janie´s and Kai´s relationship is intense and quite forbidden. This makes it all so much more complicated. And a good story is always complicated.
This book had an ending that doesn´t really need a follow up but I think there could be more to this story so I do hope there will be a sequel! This book was really amazing and you should really give it a try! You won´t be sorry I promise.

Wonderfully Wicked read-a-thon wrap-up

I´m done with the book I had decided to read during this Read-a-Thon and I had a really fun time during it as well. I entered two challenges and also had a teaser of the book I read.

I read Dark seeker by Taryn Browning. It was an really amazing book to say the least and I will have a review of the book up shortly but let me say this, I will rate it 5 stars! I just loved it that much! I´m not exactly sure what this wrap-up is suppose to contain but anyway that is how my read-a-thon went for me. I only read one book but it was amazing.

In my Mailbox

IMM is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren. It is a way for book bloggers to post what they have received for review, borrowed from a friend, bought at the bookstore, or picked up at the library.

This week I got one book for review: Farsighted by Emlyn Chand.
Won´t read it yet though, since I will be part of a blog tour for this one in december. So I will wait a bit!

Alex Kosmitoras’s life has never been easy. The only other student who will talk to him is the school bully, his parents are dead-broke and insanely overprotective, and to complicate matters even more, he's blind. Just when he thinks he'll never have a shot at a normal life, a new girl from India moves into town. Simmi is smart, nice, and actually wants to be friends with Alex. Plus she smells like an Almond Joy bar. Yes, sophomore year might not be so bad after all.

Wonderfully wicked read-a-thon challenge: Read in pictures

You create a post showing pictures that describe different things in the books you are reading or have read during the readathon. So if it's set in Paris, they can have a picture of the Eiffel Tower, etc. Please include the title of your book and what the pictures describe. :)

This challenge is hosted by The book monsters

This picture collage is from the book Dark Seeker by Taryn Browning and the setting is Baltimore I forgot to include that in the picture.

Wonderfully Wicked Read-a-Thon challenge: Title sentences

For this challenge you will be making one sentence using only book titles. You cant add or leave out any words. You can use as many books as you'd like. Your sentence will probably be silly but that makes it even more fun! Just make sure its a real sentence. Subject & Verb!

Wonderfully wicked Read-a-thon: Update and a teaser

October 21-23rd
Hosts: Bex @ Kindle Fever and April @ My Shelf Confessions

So I was thinking it is more fun to do this read-a-thon if I update my progress a long the way. So I will post about the book and give you guys a little teaser! And I can tell you all that so far it is looking really good! It was intriguing from the first page! I hope it will continue to be so. I am only on page 15 but I just started this morning.

Wonderfully Wicked read-a-Thon weekend

Wonderfully Wicked Read-a-Thon

October 21-23rd
Hosts: Bex @ Kindle Fever and April @ My Shelf Confessions

This will be my very first Read - a -Thon and to be honest I have no idea how this works really but I will give it a shot! I am going to read as much as I can but since I have a very demanding son (1years old) I will probably only manage 1 book, maybe two if I am lucky. I just finished Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick which was awesome by the way. For this read-a-thon I think I will read Dark Seeker by Taryn Browning and if I will have the time I will also read Hades by Alexandra Adornetto.
