Book Review: Jessica´s guide to dating the dark side by Beth Fantaskey

Author: Beth Fantaskey

Title: Jessica´s guide to dating the dark side

Genre: Young Adult
My rating

On The Cover:

Marrying a vampire definitely doesn’t fit into Jessica Packwood’s senior year “get-a-life” plan. But then a bizarre (and incredibly hot) new exchange student named Lucius Vladescu shows up, claiming that Jessica is a Romanian vampire princess by birth—and he’s her long-lost fiancé. Armed with newfound confidence and a copy of Growing Up Undead: A Teen Vampire’s Guide to Dating, Health, and Emotions, Jessica makes a dramatic transition from average American teenager to glam European vampire princess. But when a devious cheerleader sets her sights on Lucius, Jess finds herself fighting to win back her wayward prince, stop a global vampire war—and save Lucius’s soul from eternal destruction.

My review:
When I started to read this book, I did it with mixed feelings. Both of my two sisters had already read the book and Jessica thought it was bad, sandra thought it was great. Of course I did not know what to think. But I can honestly say that I liked the book. But however, I had very difficult to relate to the main character, Jessica. I did not like her and her attitude to everything that was not completley logical. She closed her eyes to the obvious just because she refused to admit that everything can not be explained with mathematics. This bothered me very much. She felt like a very stubborn child. But she grows on you. And when she starts to except things then I really liked her. It is a lovley Lovestory but not an easy one. There were alot of problems for her and Lucius and really does it help to be completley confused about everything related to her prince charming?
I liked it alot and I am looking farward to the sequal.

I've been wanting to read this book for awhile now. I think I'd get annoyed if the main character is like that too, but I'll check it out.

Thanks for the review!
