Book review: Wings by Aprilynne Pike

Author: Aprilynne Pike
Title: Wings
Genre: Young Adult
Series: ( Laurel) book 1 of 4.
My rating!

On the cover:
Laurel was mesmerized, staring at the pale things with wide eyes. They were terrifyingly beautiful--too beautiful for words. Laurel turned to the mirror again, her eyes on the hovering petals that floated beside her head. They looked almost like wings.

Laurel discovers she is a faerie, sent among humans to protect the gateway to Avalon. Thrust into the midst of a centuries-old battle between faeries and trolls, she's torn between a human and a faerie love, as well as her loyalties to each world. In this extraordinary tale of magic and intrigue, romance and danger, everything you thought you knew about faeries will be changed forever.

My review

This book might not like much, and really I nearly did not read it, it did not look like it would be any good. Yes I am one of those who love the beautiful covers and often buy books based on how the covers look. And this cover looked kind of boring to me. But trust me this book is not at all boring. This book is amazing really! This book really did change everything I thought I knew about faeries!  (LoL) This book is exciting and thrilling and really a lovley beginning of a lovestory, but not the usual kind. No Laurel has two boys to choose from, but who will it be? The ordinary human boy or the faerie warior? I warmly recomend this book cause it truley is amazing.

Oops I'm sorry, I didn't see this review! I'm exactly the same in how books with gorgeous covers always call out to me haha. Since you seem to love this book so much, Wings is going to my TBR pile right now :D The only problem I foresee about this book is its love triangle...I hate love triangles! ):
