About the book:

There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move. Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

My thoughts

This is one of the best love stories I have ever read. It is amazing, but I did have some difficulties in the beginning of the book. It did not capture my attention right away and I did have to struggle for the first maybe 40 pages or so. I can´t really say exactly why. It did not happen very much and Luce sort of irritated me. She was just so embarrassing and wimpy. But she grows on you. But I say to all of you have started it but not quite could continue: Give it another try. after a slow beginning the book gets really great! It is such a tragic and at the same time wonderful love story. And even though the book had a slow start I give this book the highest rating because it is amazing!
