About the book:

Hell on earth.

That's what it's like for Luce to be apart from her fallen angel boyfriend, Daniel. It took them an eternity to find one another, but now he has told her he must go away. Just long enough to hunt down the Outcasts, immortals who want to kill Luce. Daniel hides Luce at Shoreline, a school on the rocky California coast with unusually gifted students - Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and humans.

At Shoreline, Luce learns what the Shadows are, and how she can use them as windows to her previous lives. Yet the more Luce learns, the more she suspects that Daniel hasn't told her everything. He's hiding something - something dangerous. What if Daniel's version of the past isn't actually true? What if Luce is really meant to be with someone else?

My thoughts:

This book was as good as the first one and this one was not at all slow. Not anywhere. It captured my interest from the very first page. So much is happening in this book and you really can´t put the book down. I love that Luce is so strong and brave. She challenge everything that happens to her and doesn ´t just buy in to everything they say. I love that she thinks for herself. I really do like her character. She really steps up and stop being that wimpy embarrassing girl I thought she was very much in the first book. I love that she is growing like that through the story. I found I have a lot of questions when I finished this book. What about all the rules? And what is really going on with Daniel? I hope they will be answered in passion. It is a great story and a must read!
