Will love conquer all?My thoughts:
Nora and Patch thought their troubles were behind them. Hank is gone and they should be able to put his ugly vendetta to rest. But in Hank's absence, Nora has become the unwitting head of the Nephilim and must finish what Hank began. Which ultimately means destroying the fallen angels - destroying Patch.
Nora will never let that happen, so she and Patch make a plan: lead everyone to believe they have broken up, and work the system from the inside. Nora will convince the Nephilim that they are making a mistake in fighting the fallen angels, and Patch will find out everything he can from the opposing side. They will end this war before it can even begin.
But the best-laid plans often go awry. Nora is put through the paces in her new role and finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated.
As the battle lines are drawn, Nora and Patch must confront the differences that have always been between them and either choose to ignore them or let them destroy the love they have always fought for.
This I wrote on Goodreads when I finished the last page.
" OMG! I am actually crying right now! Im crying cause the series is over! And because the end was brilliant in my eyes and also because before the end it was so sad!
I am absolutely inlove with this series and am SO sad it has come to an end! "
That will probably give you a pretty nice picture of what my thought are. Lol!
This was an amazing conclusion to the Hush Hush series and I could not have asked for more. Fitzpatrick has really done her job here!
The story itself was amazing and exciting and nailbiting. There were some moments when I was mad at Nora and sometimes I was mad at Patch. At one point I even started to cry because the story didn´t go the way I thought it should go and it was very sad. Everyone who already read Finale will know exactly with part ;)
Nora, I love her character. She is strong minded and knows what she wants and is always willing to fight for it. Even though she is scared to death I might add.
And Patch our lovely Patch. What can I say!? He is just as amazing as always. The brooding, mysterious fallen angel who you can´t help but love!
It´s so hard to say anything more without giving away spoilers but I can tell you this: This is one of the best series I have picked up so far. So if you have not yet read it you really should.
....When I woke, the bed next to me was cold. I smiled at the memory of falling asleep curled in Patch’s arms, concentrating on that rather than the probability that Pepper Friberg, aka Mr. Archangel with a Dirty Secret, had sat outside my house all night, playing spy.
I thought back to a year ago, to the fall of my sophomore year. Back then, I hadn’t so much as kissed a guy. Never could I have imagined what lay in store. Patch meant more to me than I could put into words. His love and faith in me took the sting out of the hard decisions I’d been forced to make recently. Whenever doubt and regret crept into my conscience, all I had to do was think of Patch. I wasn’t sure I’d made the right choice every time, but I knew one thing for certain. I’d made the right choice in Patch. I couldn’t give him up. Ever.
