Q: Happy Mother’s Day! Who is your favorite mom from fiction?

Hmm...I really don´t have a favorite. A lot of the books I read the parents are kind of out the picture most of the book. =)

Yeah, lots of parents are absent. So weird. So I basically went with the well picked classic today because she was a super cool mom!

Yeah I totally agree! I mainly read YA/NA books and the mothers are either horrible or non existent :)

The young adult/new adult genres make it so easy to remove parents from the picture, don't they?
We need some more good role models.

A lot of books don't really have parents in them. Its very rare to find good parents in a book.

I read a lot of Young Adult and Middle Grade and even then there's not many stand out Mother characters, more than I would imagine you'd have in books you read, but not that many either :(

Hi! I agree. It's hard to find present moms in YA.
