How do you handle a book you don’t like? Do you DNF or do you power through?

Well, I have a veery hard time to not finish a book that I have started. Not sure why but it kind of feels like a failure if I don´t finish it... Even though I might not like it.
It has to be an extremely bad book for me to not plow through it.

What about you?

It feels like a failure to me to. I still regret not finishing certain books and the more time that passes, the more I think "hey, it wasn't so bad." But some of them really were. Really really bad.

I am not happy to admit having DNF books. But they were ones that I just couldn't get into no matter how far I went and I lose my patience with the story and just decide it's time to move onto another read. But I've only DNF a small few books, so it doesn't feel too bad.

Here's my Follow Friday

Have a GREAT weekend!

I always follow through with books, for fear of missing something. I'm a GFC follower.

Usually I will give a book 50-100 pages before I DNF if I'm not enjoying it. I used to power through but I no longer have the time and it turned reading into a chore. There are too many books on my tbr pile for me to feel guilty and I'm picky about what I read, so only have 1 DNF so far!

I have a few as well but I usually try to finish. Sometimes though it takes forever

Typically I power through it. One of my favorite authors had a book I just could not finish. It was all narrative with zero action. I had to quit almost halfway through. Her next book was amazing, thank goodness!

It might have just been my mood that day, but who knows.
