TGIF and follow friday

TGIF is a weekly meme hosted by Ginger @ Greads.

This Friday´s question:
Taking it personal: Which book have effected you in a personal level and lingered in your mind long after you closed the pages?

Q. Talk about the book that most changed or influenced your life (was it a book that turned you from an average to avid reader, did it help you deal with a particularly difficult situation, does it bring you comfort every time you read it?).

Since this this answer works on both these questions I put them together this week.

You might find my answer to this question a bit strange. Actually I´m not even sure why this book effected me so much. I read the twilight series a few years back. It was around the time the first movie twilight was on the cinemas. I went my last year at the university and I had not read anything really for pleasure for a few years because of school. You see I can´t read a book for pleasure at the same time I need to study and read books for school, because I get completely trapped in that book.  I can´t put it down and concentrate on school so I stopped reading all together. But the I saw this movie Twilight and really enjoyed it. I saw that this movie was based on the books by Stephanie Meyer and by some reason I decided to order the books home. I read them all during christmas break. And they just got stuck with me. I loved the character of Bella. She was so awkward and I could totally relate to that. Like I said I can´t really say why I liked it so much but there was just something in this story that just talked to me on some level. I don´t know. I really loved it and it was this book that got me started reading again. This book is what got me in to this genre in the first place.

Hey :) Hoppin' through!

I've been seeing the Twilight Saga in everyone's answers, and that's cool. I enjoyed Twilight as well but HUSH, HUSH by Becca Fitzpatrick was what introduced me to YA books.

Happy Friday! Check out my post here: Ezine of a Random Girl

Your answer is far from strange, in fact, it's quite popular today! It seems that Twilight brought a love of reading back to a lot of people, that's a pretty powerful book!

Old follower stopping by, have a great weekend!

A lot of people dis Twilight but I will always love those books. It might not be the most in-depth story and it doesn't cover many "serious" issues but it got SO MANY people interested in reading again which is a pretty wonderful thing!

Hopping through. I'm a huge Twilight fan. It's a somewhat irrational love, so I know what you mean about you don't know why you like it so much.

Twilight is a great choice!! I definitely still think of this series and I read it a few years ago now. And it definitely got me reading WAY more than I was before I read that series. I fell in love with books all over again because of it. Good choice!!
